AI flashcards: how to create study cards from your lectures in a minute
Flashcards are one of the most effective ways to memorize definitions, dates, formulas or vocabulary. Their only problem is that making them by hand takes ages. With AI you can have them in a minute, straight from the lecture itself.
What a flashcard is and why it works
A flashcard has a question on the front and the answer on the back. You try to answer, flip it and check. That effort to remember is what makes knowledge stick — far more than reading it several times.
The key is spaced repetition: review the cards you miss more often and the ones you know less often.
How to create them automatically
In SwiftBOL, open a processed lecture, go to “Create with AI” and choose “Flashcards”. The AI picks the important concepts from that lecture and creates question-and-answer cards, each linked to the minute in the audio it comes from.
You study them on the site, tapping to flip. SwiftBOL remembers on your device which ones you missed last time so you can review just those.
How to use them to study better
Do one round on the day of the lecture and another two or three days later. Before the exam, review only the ones you still miss. If a card doesn't convince you, tap its timestamp and listen to the original explanation.
