Connect your calendar and stop taking notes

With Google Calendar connected, the SwiftBOL assistant joins the meetings in your calendar that have a Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Webex link on its own. You decide whether it joins all of them or only the ones you organize, and you can cancel any of them.

What SwiftBOL does with your calendar

  • Reads your upcoming events (the next 36 hours) to find the ones with a video link.
  • Schedules the assistant for each one's start time. If you move the meeting, it's rescheduled; if you delete or decline it, it's cancelled.
  • Read-only access: SwiftBOL never creates, changes or deletes events in your calendar.
  • It only stores the link, title and time of the meetings the assistant joins.

Included in every plan, Free included.

How to connect it

  1. In SwiftBOL, open Integrations and, under Connections, click Connect next to Google Calendar.
  2. Choose your Google account and accept the permission to see the events in your calendars.
  3. You're back in SwiftBOL with Google Calendar “Connected”. Click Settings.
  4. Turn on “Automatically send the bot to my meetings”, choose which meetings it joins (all with a video link, or only the ones you organize) and save.

How to disconnect it

  1. From SwiftBOL: open Integrations and, under Connections, click Disconnect next to Google Calendar.
  2. From Google: in your Google Account (myaccount.google.com), open Security, find your connections to third-party apps, choose SwiftBOL and remove its access.

When you disconnect, SwiftBOL deletes the access tokens (stored encrypted) and cancels the assistants scheduled from the calendar. The minutes you already have stay in your account until you delete them.

SwiftBOL stores your meetings in the European Union. From Google Calendar it only reads your upcoming events, with no way to change them, and it deletes the access tokens as soon as you disconnect.

Frequently asked questions

Which plan do I need?

Any. The connection and auto-join are on every plan; what changes is the assistant hours: 1 a month on Free, 10 on Standard, 50 on Unlimited and 100 per person on Business.

Can SwiftBOL change or delete my events?

No. The permission is read-only (calendar.events.readonly): SwiftBOL can't create, change or delete anything in your calendar.

How often does it check my calendar?

When you connect it, whenever you use the SwiftBOL dashboard (at most every 10 minutes) and once a day. If you've just created a meeting that starts soon, click “Sync now”.

Does it join meetings I decline?

No. The assistant doesn't join events you've declined, and if you decline or delete a meeting that was already scheduled, it's cancelled.

Does it work with Outlook or Apple Calendar?

Only with Google Calendar for now. With other calendars, paste each meeting's link in Meeting assistant.

What calendar data is stored?

Only the link, title and time of the meetings the assistant joins, plus the access tokens, encrypted. Our use of Google data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
